Only some of the gauges in my Land Rover work. Oil gauge is mostly dead, factory temp gauge, fuel gauge...

Conversations I may have had...
Cop, “Do you know how fast you were going”
Me, (looks down, looks back up) “Not exactly, but it felt like the top of fifth gear”

I have been thinking about this for my own daily ride, a FZ6. I’m just curious, do you have some way of seeing the idiot lights? Or are you living on the edge? I’m scared of having no mechanical fuel reserve OR gauge. OR CEL light.

I’m living on the edge, lol. Actually only reason I don’t have any is they have no mount point on the GSXR forks and triples I added. No fuel light, CEL, neutral indicator, odometer, tach, spedometer.
My plan it to integrate some idiot lights into a colored LEDs mounted inside the steering stem (so it lights up the center of the hollow shaft), but I haven’t got to it yet.

Have you looked into how easy it is to do? I haven’t taken mine apart yet but I assuming there is some connector that fits to the gauge cluster thingy and that there is a computer inside of there that actually decides which lights to turn on and off right? So you would have to hack up the gauge cluster and then solder new leads to the LEDs you want to mount to the stem? Is the cluster still on the bike somewhere or just not hooked up at all?

For my bike specifically, signal and oil pressure lights are just straight up voltage on/off so I can wire a light between that pin on the gauge connector and ground. The fuel and neutral lights are ground switched, so I need to apply voltage to the top of the circuit into the connector to use lights there.
I just fill up on the way home every other day and I’ve never had a problem. When I’m out on rides it gets better gas mileage than the sport bikers so I just fill up when they do.
Or you could just do a Vapor, I’m thinking that might be the direction I go so I can have ECT as well.

Huh, hadn’t realized it could be that simple. This is getting me way more excited about running gaugeless now.

Wiring diagrams are your friend! In the SV community we have a nice collection of color coded schematics for the whole harness, makes it pretty easy to add things.
